Goal #1 Raise $500,000 for the purchase of a property
1st fundraising goal.png
Goal #1 notes - what we are looking for in a property that has the following features:
  • Get a pre-approval with a discretionary use application from local RM
  • 1 type of storage such as a Quonset or large garage for a tractor and other farming equipment and possibility of a job skills program implementation in the future
  • ideally 1 or more houses for volunteers to live in (and pay rent for some revenue) and be available for the people we are wanting to help as much as possible
  • 80 acres or more to build a tiny home community
  • lagoon for sewage disposal
  • Extremely large garden or area we can put a garden in to help with a revenue source
  • 2 wells for the garden (garden is to help generate revenue and be a part of our job skills program) and houses
Goal #2 raise an additional $1,000,000 for tiny homes to be built along with paying for the mortgage on the property; if any.
Goal #2 notes - what this stage looks like
  • join farmer's markets or ask grocery stores to stock our produce and get some revenue this way
  • Build one tiny house at a time and get one homeless person that truly wants help off the street and then build the next house before we are ready to bring on a new person onto the property. One house and one person at a time. Couples will only be allowed if they are married.
  • Charge a small room and board fee for the tiny home or they will have to work on the property to live in the tiny home for minimum wage until they work enough hours to pay the fee we would require. All meals will be supplied by Hope for the Homeless in a community kitchen in the main residence. Each person will be different and might want to get a job off the property, and some might want to work on the property; we understand this.
  • All tiny homes will be equipped with a small living area, bedroom and bathroom only.  There will only be a kitchen in the main volunteer home/residence.
  • Overhead costs will be approximately $80,000 per year
  • Tiny homes will cost approximately $20,000 to build with all cost/construction per home
Goal #3 raise an additional $1,500,000 for more tiny homes, landscaping, and paying for the mortgage on the property; if any
Goal #3 notes - what this stage looks like
  • We will now have a few or more tiny homes on the property and by God's grace the people's lives have been more transformed. With this in mind, it is now time for them to help the inner city needs more. This could be part of Goal #2, if they are ready at this point. God willing, these people that have been helped will have the motivation to help someone else or mentor someone that is in the shoes they were in.
  • This is where we would like to use some of the funds to start our building program. The plan is to buy property that needs minor or major renovations an get the people in our program to fix it up with help of volunteers that are in this trade and resell it or move in themselves, if they are ready to be reintegrated into society.
  • By this stage in the dev't of the program we hope to be close to self-sufficient with raising enough money through the sales of our produce before we start the building program.

And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.” Luke 3:11
